Walter Edwin Machin Jr,

Walter Edwin Machin Jr., son of Walter and Mary Machin, was born in Boulder, Colorado on May 31, 1941. He attended Boulder High School and graduated in 1959. After serving four years in the US Navy he attended the University of Northern Colorado, graduating in 1967 with a B.A. in Social Sciences. He went on to work for the United States General Accounting Office for over twenty years. He died on October 15, 2011, due to complications of Parkinson's disease.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 34 years Ruth Machin and their daughter Mary Elizabeth Machin. He is survived by their children, Lara & Eric Canen and Patricia & Kevin Zupan, their twelve grandchildren, and his wife of four years Nancy Vorkink Machin.

He was a kind, loyal, and loving man who cared deeply for his family and will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Parkinson Association of the Rockies.
